Finally back on track

Not sure how long this will remain the case, but I'm finally caught up on uploading games shot this winter.

Today I was able to upload photos from the BFA-Fairfax-Enosburg boys basketball games (JV and Varsity) on Jan. 15; the Danville-Enosburg girls basketball game on Jan 16; and the BFA-Fairfax at Richford girls basketball games (JV and Varsity) on Jan. 21.

This week shapes up to be a busy week - more team and individual posed photos - including my first-ever shoots at BFA-Fairfax. We will be edited the MVU hockey team and individual photos this week and delivering the Bakersfield team team and individual photos this week.

Thanks to all of those who have turned to Cold Hollow Photo for their photographic needs - Sandy and I are so grateful to all our clients - including our seniors, schools, leagues, couples and families, and of course those of you who purchase action photos from us, as well. We REALLY appreciate your business!

Later this week we will also be shooting at the Academy Cheer Challenge for the third straight year - we're pretty excited to be able to shoot the actual competition in addition to the posed and team stuff.

If you've never watched the competition, it's a great event at the Collins-Perley Complex on Saturday at noon.

If you want more infomation, email me or leave me a comment in the space below.

Take care!

Quick update

For those who care about such things, I shot photos of the BFA-Fairfax-Enosburg boys basketball games (JV and Varsity) and am on my way shortly to Danville-Enosburg girls basketball. Probably varsity only on that one.

I'm running behind in posting games - I have the two games from last night plus today's game and still have the Bakersfield-Enosburg 7/8 games (boys and girls) to edit and upload. Looking like it will be a few days as I worked a league shoot this morning in Colchester, have two stories to write for the Messenger and still need to post some galleries from the varsity games on examiner.com.

Oh yeah, and I also have another senior photo this Sunday and need to get some BFA-St. Albans winter sports to the yearbook in the next couple of days. I'm not complaining at all about being this busy ... beats the alternative by a ton!

At any rate, I'll keep you posted on the status of the games that need to be edited and uploaded and thank you those who emailed me today asking when the photos would be uploaded.

Thanks for reminding me that I said I would blog about my shooting schedule!

Happy Saturday!

Catching up

It's been a few days since I've posted, but that's an occupational hazard sometimes.

Between working 15 of the last 18 days in my 'temporary part-time job' at the Freeps, doing some shoots in and out of the studio, editing, etc ... my days have been busy, but I'm heading into a little lull so I can finally do some posting.

First of all, I've put some new ice photos on the website - these were taken a couple days after the fact - very cool contrasts between the white ice and blue sky.

Here's a couple of a samples.

I also had the pleasure of doing an 'engagement session' at my studio this weekend with Eddie and Kelly, who are getting hitched in June. We had a lot of fun, despite the fact it was dreadfully cold outside when I

made them step out for a few photos.

Here's a few of my faves.

I'll be photographing a senior this afternoon, a couple of middle school games tonight.

I've updated the winter sports list on my blog and have put some new stuff on the Examiner.com site earlier this week.

That's all I have time for today.

A sunny Saturday, for a change

Have to admit seems mighty odd seeing the glowing orb in the sky after a week's worth of snow, gloom and ice - guess I should try to find my sunglasses!

At any rate, off to MVU at Enosburg boys basketball for the Messenger and then to the Freeps to help out on the desk.

I posted four game galleries last night - Bakersfield-Swanton youth basketball, BFA-Enosburg freshman girls and Enosburg-Lake Region varsity. Still need to post the JV photos from that game, probably early next week.

I'm doing four more days for the Freeps next week, but should be able to get out to shoot more games Thursday-Saturday.

Thanks for visiting the site - set a new record for all time-hits earlier this week and for the week, hits are already more than I've had in week. Granted, this is a new blog and that's not saying a ton, but I'm happy so many of you are finding your way here!

Game on ... finally!

After what seems like forever, my schedule has finally cleared so I can cover a game tonight.

I'll be taking the tussle (I love that word!) between the Lake Region and Enosburg boys in the 'Burg at 7 p.m.

Before that, I'm taking a quick trip to Swanton to take a couple of team photos of the Bakersfield Elementary teams - they had some kids missing on team photo day on Tuesday.

I shot the 5th and 6th and 7th and 8th grade teams and I must say - especially considering the age group - these are some really well-behaved kids - super polite and respectful. It was a pleasure to work with them.

I've also been signed up to do the MVU boys and girls hockey teams' photos at the end of next week. Hopefully, I won't take a dinger on the ice like I did back when I shot the MAHA photos. My wrist still isn't right from that fall! Oh well, serves me right for being a dummy and thinking a rubber mat would somehow adhere to slippery ice. At least some folks got quite a show!

When I shot the Enosburg middle school team's photos on Monday I shot some photos of the BFA-St. Albans and Enosburg girls basketball game - those should be up in the days to come - remember to check this link for the list of photos on the site.

If you want to see what we've been dealing with weather-wise up in Franklin, check out these photos I took yesterday.
